What Rises Up Must Boogie Down is on wax! You can listen to and download the album on Bandcamp, but you can find the LP at Easystreet Records, Sonic Boom Records, Georgetown Records, Hex Enduction Records and Books, or directly from us at the next show!
This first album consists mostly of the orphan songs of Damion's former bands: Autolite Strike, the kILLER-dILLERs, and Typical Girls - songs that were performed live between 2011 and 2013 but were never recorded before the bands split.
Damion Heintschel plays all guitars on the record with Shaking Fists bandmate Randall Payne on drums.
After recording the album at Soundhouse, the band asked engineer Mike Sebring to play bass for a show opening for the Tom Price Desert Classic at Darrell's Tavern in 2022.
The show was a blast and people were moved. Now they are the only garage-rock-blues-boogie trio in Seattle!
The music is PNW Garage Rock with plenty of Motor City Boogie.
All guitars are tuned to 432 Hz, the same frequency at which the human body vibrates.
Damion Heintschel is an American singer/songwriter who played in a bunch of bands you never heard of: the Orgones (OH), Autolite Strike, the kILLER-dILLERs, and Typical Girls. He currently plays guitar, theremin, and sings in the Shaking Fists. He reads books when he's not watching TV.
Randall Payne is a pnw rock veteran who played in Bali Girls, Leatherboy, and Loaf, among others. He currently plays drums in Our Dead Fathers and the Shaking Fists. He sometimes needs a chainsaw to get out of his driveway.
Mike Sebring is owner and engineer at Soundhouse Recording Studio. He fronted the pnw band When Giants Fall. He enjoys walks in the park and installing tile.
Their label is Damion's self-created ORGŌNIZED Records. See their website for more information.
